ACS on Campus is exicited to participate in the 7th annual EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Liverpool! The European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS) aims to nurture a platform for scientific discussion and provide a single, unbiased European voice on key policy issues in chemistry and related fields. This years theme centers on molecular frontiers and global challenges.
Attendees will hear a special presentations from Peter Dorhout, the President of the American Chemical Society, Bibiana Campos Seijo the Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of C&EN Media Group, LaTrease Garrison the Executive Vice President of the American Chemical Society’s Education Division, and more!

Peter Dorhout, Ph.D.
President, American Chemical Society
Vice President of Research, Kansas State University
Dorhout earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign and a doctorate in inorganic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Ames Laboratory at Iowa State University and a research collaborator with Los Alamos National Laboratory. His research specialties include thin film materials, environmental chemistry, and actinide and radiochemistry. For his contributions to the field of chemistry and for his work as an administrator and researcher, Dorhout was named a fellow of the American Chemical Society in 2013. Dorhout is the 2017 president-elect of the American Chemical Society and is the recipient of several other prestigious national awards, including Research Corporation Cottrell Scholar, Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar, National Science Foundation CAREER Award, ACS Exxon-Mobil Young Faculty Award for Materials Chemistry and an A.P. Sloan Fellow. He has written more than 110 peer-reviewed articles, edited books and book chapters.
