Monica A. Cotta is a Full Professor in Physics at University of Campinas, Brazil, where she earned her PhD in 1991. She was formerly involved in telecommunications research at AT&T Bell Laboratories (Murray Hill, USA, 1991-1993) and Telebras (Campinas, Brazil,1993-1996). She is currently a CNPq Research Scholarship recipient (Brazil) and works on nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, and their application to biology-related investigations.”

JITESH SOARES, Ph.D. is an Associate Publisher for Global Journals Development within the Publications Division of the American Chemical Society where he oversees the strategic development of the materials science portfolio of ACS Publications peer-reviewed journals. His team is responsible for maintaining the editorial health and rigor of nine journal titles including the symposium sponsors – ACS Energy Letters, ACS Nano, ACS Photonics, Chemistry of Materials, and Nano Letters. Jitesh is also responsible for the development of new journal titles and was central to the recent introduction of two new journal titles – ACS Energy Letters and ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science. Soares earned a B.Sc. with a dual major in biochemistry and microbiology from St. Xavier’s College (University of Mumbai), an M.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of Mumbai, an additional M.S. as well as Ph.D. in microbiology from the Ohio State University.

Regiane Bracchi is a librarian with master’s degree in Information Science. Bracchi has experience teaching as a professor of Library Science and has taught classes in many areas of information management. For the past four years, Bracchi was Head of Libraries for one of the most important universities in Latin America, University of Campinas. Currently she is the Market & Business Development Manager from ACS. She is based in Brazil and my main role is support the Brazilian institutions in the use and application of all ACS products, publications and solutions, including publishing and author services.
Denise Ferreira, Ph.D.
Country Manager - Brasil, Chemical Abstracts Service
Denise Ferreira, Country Manager for CAS in Brazil, holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Sao Paulo and a postdoc from Uppsala University. During the last +10 years, she worked with Innovation and product development, both in Brazil and abroad in the academic and private sectors. As part of the journey, she had led challenges ranging from product development for specific market needs; selection and screening of innovative projects in the biopharmaceutical field and more recently the development of strategic partnerships in the Brazilian Market to disseminate the presence and awareness of ACS’s mission and its divisions. In her current role as Country Manager, she is responsible for CAS Operation in the Brazilian market, with a strong focus on promoting initiatives to accelerate the incorporation of innovation and technology into the R&D space and therefore to increase global competitiveness of Brazilian companies.
João Henrique Brito Pessoa
Engenheiro de Processamento de Petróleo - PETROBRAS
Mestre em Engenharia Química - UFRN
Sou Engenheiro Químico formado na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco em 2003 e Mestre em Engenharia Química formado em 2015 pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Em 2004 entrei como concursado na Petrobras e fiz o curso de formação de Engenheiro de Processamento da Petrobras. Em 2005 fui alocado no setor de suporte técnico a operação e projetos da Unidade de Operação RN / CE (UO-RNCE) onde trabalhei por 11 anos na área de projetos, análises de riscos de processo em instalações e projetos, estudos de escoamento de óleo / água / gás e suporte técnico em processos de produção de petróleo e gás natural. Desde Junho/2016 trabalho com monitoramento da corrosão interna dos dutos da UO-RNCE, sendo responsável pela equipe que elabora os pareceres de monitoramento da corrosão dentro da coordenação de dutos.
