Bo Wang, Ph.D.
Co-Founder, ZeoVation, Inc.
Dr. Bo Wang is a Ph.D. trained scientific researcher and technical entrepreneur focusing on the invention and commercialization of chemical process and functional materials. Bo received his B.S from Nanjing University in China in 2011 and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2016. During Ph.D. study, he developed efficient synthesis methods for nanozeolite, hierarchical zeolite and bendable zeolite membrane platform, for which he was awarded in DOW Chemical Company Graduate Poster Competition, 29th Annual Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum and Presidential Fellowship. He has also taken technology commercialization courses at OSU to get prepared for an entrepreneur. After obtaining Ph.D., Bo attended Concept Academy at Rev1 Ventures (www.rev1ventures.com) with his inventions for validation and market study. In 2016, he co-founded ZeoVation, Inc. (www.zeovation.com) with Professor Prabir K. Dutta at The Ohio State University to commercialize these technologies and develop value-added functional products, including highly potent antimicrobial agents and sunscreen active ingredients. At ZeoVation, Bo is responsible for product development, manufacture scale-up and funding applications. He is selected as a part of the 2018-2019 Young Alumni Academy at The Ohio State University.
Jonathan E. Clark, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist, Personal Healthcare Analytical, Proctor & Gamble
Jon works in PHC (P&G’s Over the Counter business) providing unique analytical methods and holistic prototype/product characterization End to End across the Vicks portfolio. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Butler University in 2005. From 2005-2010, he completed his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the Ohio State University. His Ph.D. studies resulted in development of the first electrospun, nanofiber-based separation devices and methods. Jon accepted a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he studied lung cancer biomarkers via LC-MS/MS and MRM-MS. Jon spent 3 years in industry working for Dow AgroSciences prior to joining P&G. Since joining P&G in February 2015, Jon has worked across all upstream PHC projects. He is involved in the OSU Ph.D. recruiting team and is a leader of the New Scientist Network.
Ed Toplikar, Ph.D.
Director of R&D / QA, Capital Resin Corporation
After completing his Post-Doc, I obtained a job at Ashland. While at Ashland, he was in a variety of roles from supporting the Foundry Products and Adhesives businesses to working in a central research group. After leaving Ashland, he took on his current role managing the Research and Development and QA departments for Capital Resin Corporation.
Account Manager, CAS
Lauren has been with CAS since 2015 serving as an Account Manager for customers in the Mid-West region of the US. She currently supports academic, commercial and government organizations’ information needs through CAS products and services. She began her career in the lab, serving as a synthetic organic chemist in the pharmaceutical industry and then later used her chemistry background for business development at Battelle, marketing for Lord Corp and product management for METTLER Toledo. She earned her Masters in Chemistry from Wake Forest University under Ulrich Bierbach.
