Join our trio of editors from ACS Catalysis, Editor-in-Chief Cathleen Crudden, and Associate Editors Raffaella Buonsanti, Ph.D. and Tehshik Yoon, Ph.D., to learn how you can leverage your social media presence to advance your career. Cathy, Raffaella, and Tehshik will share ten tips you can start using right away.

Cathleen Crudden, Ph.D.

Allie Vi Douglas Distinguished University Professor, Canada Research Chair, Tier 1, Department of Chemistry, Queen's University
Cathleen Crudden was born in Belfast, N. Ireland, and raised in Toronto, Canada. She obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the University of Toronto, a Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa and carried out an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. She is currently A.V. Douglas Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. In 2022 she started as Scientific Director of the Carbon to Metal Coating Institute. She also holds a Research Professorship and runs a satellite lab at the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules (ITbM) in Nagoya, Japan. Dr. Crudden held a visiting professorship in the labs of Professor Noyori (Nobel Prize 2001) and a Global Center of Excellence Professor at Kyoto University. She served as President of the Canadian Society for Chemistry in 2012/2013 and on the Board of Directors. She was Chair of the Chemical Institute of Canada in 2021-2022.
Tehshik Yoon, Ph.D.
Associate Editor, ACS Catalysis
Professor of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin–Madison
Tehshik Yoon has been an Associate Editor for ACS Catalysis since 2020 and handles a portfolio of manuscripts involving synthetic chemistry, asymmetric catalysis, and photocatalysis. In addition, he serves on the Board of Editors for Organic Synthesis and the Editorial Advisory Boards for Accounts of Chemical Research and ChemPhotoChem. Tehshik earned his Ph.D. with David MacMillan at Caltech and conducted postdoctoral research with Eric Jacobsen at Harvard. He joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2005, where he currently serves as Professor of Chemistry.
Raffaella Buonsanti, Ph.D.

Laboratory of Nanochemistry for Energy (LNCE), Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering
Raffaella Buonsanti is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering at EPFL. Here, she leads a multidisciplinarymultidisciplinary program which spans from materials chemistry and nanoscience to electrocatalysis and sustainability. She has co-authored more than 110 peer-reviewed manuscripts and received multiple recognitions, including the the European Chemical Society Lecture Award and the Royal Chemical Society ChemComm Emerging Investigator Lectureship in 2019 and the Swiss Chemical Society Werner Price in 2021. She is also the current chair of the Nanoscience Subdivision of the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry and is an Associate Editor of ACS Catalysis.
