The event is FREE and open to all students and researchers in the sciences, not just chemistry! All attendees will receive a personalized participation certificate after the event.

Prof. Chunhai Fan
Associate Editor, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces
Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Prof. Chunhai Fan received his B.S. and Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 1996 and 2000 respectively, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) from 2001 to 2003. Dr. Fan is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS academician). He is also an Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, a Guest Editor of Advanced Materials, and serves on the editorial board of more than ten international journals (ChemBioChem, ChemPlusChem, ACS Sensors, ACS Nano, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Electroanalysis, Particles etc.). His work has been recognized by many awards including National Natural Science Prize of China (2016),National Award for Young Scientists of China (2011), The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation (2019) and Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship Award in American Chemical Society (2019).
Prof. Xinrong Zhang
Executive Editor, Analytical Chemistry

Professor Xinrong Zhang received his Bachelor’s degrees at Shaanxi Normal University, China in 1982, and Ph.D degree at Ghent University, Belgium in 1997. His current research interests are focused on analytical methodology and application of mass spectrometry and luminescence analysis. He published over 190 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 10 patents related to analytical methods and instrumentation. He is now serves as Associate Editor of Analytical Chemistry (ACS).
Dr. Cyrene Qian
Senior Customer Success Specialist, CAS
Dr. Cyrene Qian joined CAS in November 2015. She is responsible for the training, promotion and designing the case study for CAS solutions, such as SciFinder, PatentPak, etc. Dr. Qian is an expert in retrieving scientific information of chemistry, chemical engineering, energy, pharmacy, biology, material science via SciFinder and other CAS solutions; and she is also familiar with different types of chemical information searching tools. Before joining CAS, Dr. Qian worked as Associated Professor at the National Center for NANO Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Before that she did her post-doc research in the Dept. of Materials, University of Oxford since October 2013. She received her PhD degree in organic chemistry in Ecole Polytechnique, France; she got her master’s degree in chemistry in Memorial University, Canada and she got her Bachelor’s Degree of Materials Chemistry and Bachelor’s Degree of Business in Nankai University.
