Kui Yu, Ph.D

Prof. Kui Yu joined Sichuan University in 2014 with the prestigious Yangtze River Scholarship (the highest accolade from the Ministry of Education). She obtained her Ph.D. at McGill University in Canada from the department of Chemistry and has since gone on to build a successful carrier in the field of Quantum Dots. During her time at National Research Council Canada (NRC) in Ottawa, Kui Yu specialized in the fundamental study and applications of colloidal semiconductor colloidal nanocrystals and has published many articles. Her primary focus recently is on the study the formation pathways of magic-sized and regular quantum dots.

Prof. Haizheng Zhong

Haizheng Zhong is a professor of photonic materials in the school of materials science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). He obtained his B.E. degree in 2003 from Jilin University, and then undertook his Ph.D. studies at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) from 2003 to 2008. During 2017/04-2017/10, he spent 6 months in UCLA as a visiting student. After that, he worked as postdoc at the University of Toronto during 2008–2010. He joined School of Materials Science & Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) as an associate professor in 2010 and was promoted to full professor in 2013. His current research interests are in the area of colloidal quantum dots for photonics and optoelectronics. His recent awards include the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars (2017), Beijing Science and Technology Award (2018, 2/10), 2019 IDW best paper award. Since 2019, he serves as senior editor for Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters.

Chun Zhao, Ph.D

Chun Zhao is currently an Associate Professor of Water Science and Engineering at Chongqing University. He is also the President-elect of ACS International Chapter of Southwestern of China, Member of Youth Committee of Chinese Association for Standardization of Engineering Construction in the area of water supply and drainage, and adviser of College student chemistry club at Chongqing University. His research interests include advanced water treatment technologies, advanced oxidation technologies, and novel carbon based materials for removing contaminants of emerging concern in water. Dr. Zhao is the author or co-author of over 60 refereed journal publications (H index 15), 20 conference proceedings, 3 book chapter publications, 4 patents, and several national standards and local standards of Chongqing.
