Featured Speakers
Professor Xing Yi Ling
Editor-in-Chief, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Xing Yi Ling is a Professor in Chemistry from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Jiangnan University China. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Twente, the Netherlands in 2009,and her postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley between 2009-2011. She is the Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry, and received Singapore National Research Foundation Investigatorship, Nanyang Award for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, L’ORÉAL Singapore for Women in Science National Fellowship, Singapore National Research Foundation Fellowship, IUPAC Prize for Young Chemists, and etc.
Prof. Ke Ding
Associate Editor, Journal of Medicinal Chemsitry
Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Dr. Ding is a Changjiang Scholar professor of Medicinal Chemistry (MOE, China) and Professor of Organic Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Ding’s research focuses on design and synthesis of bioactive lead compounds for novel drug discovery. He has successfully developed a number of drug-like molecules including: the first class of small molecular agonists of ERRa; novel Bcr-AblT315I inhibitors overcoming clinically acquired resistance against imatinib; the first selective DDR1 inhibitors; the first selective ZAK inhibitors and highly specific EGFRT790M and EGFRC797S mutant inhibitors etc. He has published about 160 per-reviewed papers and co-invented over 50 international patents, several of which have been licensed to international pharmaceutical companies. Several drug candidates are undergoing different stages of clinical investigation in China or USA. He is also serving as an Associate Editor, Journal of Medicinal Chemsitry.
Prof. Craig Lindsley
Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry
Director, Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery (WCNDD) and University Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology, Chemistry & Biochemistry)
Craig W. Lindsley, Ph.D. is the Director of the Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery (WCNDD) and University Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology, Chemistry & Biochemistry. Dr. Lindsley’s research is focused on the development of novel treatment strategies for schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Fragile X Syndrome and other brain disorders. In addition, his academic lab is focused on teaching the basic tenants of organic chemistry (synthetic methods, total synthesis, chemical biology) and then apply these skills to translational science problems. In 2009 Craig became the founding Editor-in-Chief of ACS Chemical Neuroscience, the interim EIC of ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science (2020) and the EIC of Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (2021- ). Recipient of major awards from ACS and ASPET, including induction into the ACS MEDI Hall of Fame (2021), and named a Fellow of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, the Royal Society for Chemistry, the National Academy of Inventors and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Prof. Yiying Wu
Deputy Editor, ACS Applied Energy Materials
Professor, Leet Endowed Chair, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio
Yiying Wu received his B.S. in chemical physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1998, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2003 with Prof. Peidong Yang. He then did his postdoctoral research with Prof. Galen D. Stucky at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and joined the chemistry faculty at The Ohio State University in the summer of 2005. He was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2011 and to full professor in 2014. He has been serving as an associate editor for ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces since 2013. His group focuses on materials chemistry and interface synthesis for energy conversion and storage. He is the inventor of the one-electron K-O2 battery and pioneered solar batteries that integrate solar harvesting with energy storage. His invention of K-air battery received DOE Clean Energy Prize in 2014.
