With a master’s degree in information science and extensive experience as a teaching professor focusing on the production, dissemination, use and application of scientific and technological information, Regiane A. Bracchi’s main role as the ACS Publications Latin America Manager is to support the scientific community in the region. This work centers on the development and implementation projects and partnerships associated to the access, use, and application of all ACS resources and solutions, as well as the promotion of opportunities and programs for the benefit of science in Latin America.

Juliana is the Publishing, Scientific Information, and Outreach Specialist for ACS Publications, a division of the American Chemical Society. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, and has obtained both her Master’s and Doctorate in Food Science and Technology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Juliana has served as a visiting scholar at the University of Messina in Italy, The Ohio State University in the USA, and the University of Seville in Spain. She has more than 10 publications in the area of sensory analysis and chemical study of food. Juliana has also been awarded the Fulbright scholarship and has participated in the ACS Summer School on Green Chemistry & Sustainable Energy 2023.

Dr. Coralia Osorio is a Full Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry as well as her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences. She leads the Research Group GANAC (Grupo de Aditivos Naturales de Arooma y Color).  Dr. Osorio has also held leadership positions as Director of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (ICTA) and Head of the Office of Interinstitutional Relations at the Bogotá Campus of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Her research lies at the interface of natural products chemistry and food chemistry, with particular emphasis on flavor chemistry, pigments in foods (anthocyanins, carotenoids, and chlorophylls), chemical ecology, the isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds, the development of natural food additives using drying technologies such as spray drying and freeze-drying, and the design of functional foods. Dr. Osorio has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has organized numerous symposia at the American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meetings on bioactive compounds from tropical fruits. Her scientific contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Meritorious Research Award from the Faculty of Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2017), the ACS Agricultural and Food Chemistry Division Fellow Award (2021), and the Latin American Women in Chemistry Award – Academia (2024). Since 2020, Dr. Osorio has served as Deputy Editor of ACS Food Science & Technology. She is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of ACS Omega and a Corresponding Member of the Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales. She is the chair-elected (2025-2026) of the Division of Agricultural and Food Chemistry AGFD (ACS).

Dr. José Rubén Morones-Ramírez is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), where he directs the Center for Biotechnology and Nanotechnology Research and leads the NanoBiotechnology Research Group. He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and conducted postdoctoral research at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Boston University, and the Wyss Institute at Harvard University. His research integrates nanobiotechnology, synthetic biology, and bioengineering to develop new antimicrobial strategies, synthetic living materials, and sustainable technologies for health, water, and environmental applications. His work has received more than 17,000 citations and has led multiple granted patents. He received the Young Researchers Award from the Mexican Academy of Sciences and is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the Mexican Academy of Engineering, and Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for ACS ES&T Water. He has mentored more than 50 graduate students and regularly teaches courses on preparing and publishing research articles in high-impact journals. He is also a frequent invited speaker at international scientific meetings.
