Prof. Debabrata Maiti received his PhD from Johns Hopkins University (USA) in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Kenneth D. Karlin. After postdoctoral studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with Prof. Stephen L. Buchwald (2008–2010), he joined the Department of Chemistry at IIT Bombay in 2011 wherein currently he is a full Professor. His research interests are focused on the development of new and sustainable synthetic and catalytic methodologies. Currently he is an Associate-Editor of Journal of Organic Chemistry.
Buvaneswari G., Ph.D.
Professor, Department of Chemistry, VIT Vellore
Buvaneswari G. is currently Professor in the Department of Chemistry. After completing her Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology- Madras and Post Doctoral training from University of Florida she joined the department. Her broad research area is inorganic materials in which her research group focuses on catalytic, photocatalytic, pigment materials and materials for waste management. The research findings resulted in the development of novel materials in these fields and are published in reputed journals. Couple of findings are in the process of patenting. The research works are aided by the sponsorship from agencies such as CSIR, DST, DAE-IGCAR, DAE-IGCAR-VIT, UGC-DAE-CSR.
Alessandro Agosti, Ph.D.

Head of Process Safety and Reaction Scale-up Laboratory, OLON SpA
Alessandro Agosti is the head of process safety and reaction scale-up at Olon, an Italy based manufacturer of pharmaceutical chemicals. Olon’s chemists, engineers, and process safety experts help pharmaceutical companies bridge the gap from research and development to manufacturing. Agosti is an organic chemist by training, and his role is to determine how pharmaceutical companies can smoothly and safely transition to plant-scale production of new chemicals.
